The Withlacoochee River, estuaries and creeks wind through both wooded and residential areas. The area is quiet and paddlers enjoy spotting some of the Nature Coast’s most interesting wildlife. The river is fresh water turning brackish closer to the gulf.
The Gulf is open saltwater. This area can be busier, but is wide open. Paddle around the estuaries and shorelines while keeping an eye out for glimpses of the Nature Coast’s marine life.

⏱ Time: Times to complete paddling trails vary, but rental can be made for half-day or full day.
